Kraken Weekly Clinics
Looking for extra ice time to kick-start your development? Our coaches will help you build and improve with a wide variety of program options. Power-skating, skill development series for both co-ed and girls-only, as well as a session for those in a more competitive environment. Our programs will be led by resident Kraken coaches. These sessions will be offered for players born between 2008-2017. We can’t wait to see you on the ice at Kraken Community Iceplex this season!

Grassroots Power Skating
This program is designed to refine and enhance hockey skating with our resident Kraken coaches. It will continue to add to the skills players were working on when they graduated Learn to Skate. We believe that skating is the most important fundamental skill to play this game. This program will focus on enhancing a player’s ability to control their edges, work on balance, and increase stride efficiency to succeed in game-like scenarios with and without the puck.
6-16 years old
Player must currently be in a Learn to Play, Sea-League or Jr Squid class in order to participate.
Monday- 5:15-6pm
Full hockey gear and stick are required for the class.

Birth Years: 2006-2016
This series is programmed for players who have played in the MHL (or similar league) this past year.
Jr Squid and Sea-League players should check with Kraken coaches prior to registering.

Skill Development Series, Co-Ed
This class is designed for recreational level ice hockey players who want to improve their overall skills and understanding of the game. The sessions will cover a variety of fundamental skills including skating, passing, shooting, and stick-handling. Players should expect a fun but challenging practice!

Goalie Clinics
Whether you are young or old, just starting or a seasoned goalie, we have a goalie class for you. Join us Sundays to learn how to better stop the puck!
- Grassroots Goalie Class - This series focuses on goalie skills and fundamentals with an emphasis on edge-work and competitive fun.
- Goalie Development Class - This series focuses on goalie skills and fundamentals with an emphasis on edge-work and play reading.
- Adult Goalie Development - This series focuses on goalie skills and fundamentals with an emphasis on efficient movement and save techniques.

Jr Squid, 8U, 10U, and Sea-League players interested in playing goalie.
Players must have completed a Learn to Play program and bring their own player gear to class.

Sundays, 2:15-2:45pm and 2:45-3:15pm
Goalies must come in full skater gear. Quick change pads will be provided.
10U players and Sea Leaguers must provide their own goalie equipment.
