July 6 - August 29 | Registration open now for all skaters
ALL new skaters to Kraken Community Iceplex, register for Deep Sea #1. Skaters will be moved to an appropriate level after the first class in the session.
Skaters may level up in any of the eight weeks during the session. Skaters will advance through 6 levels of the Kraken Learn to Skate program at their own pace, working through each level by demonstrating the skills listed in that level's curriculum.
Following this program, adults may continue into Emerald Edge Figure Skating programs or Learn to Play Hockey.

Fall (Session #1) Adult Classes
September 14 - November 7
Weekday mornings:
- Tuesdays @ 10:00am
- Thursdays @ 9:45am
Weekday evenings:
- Mondays @ 6:45pm (Deep Sea #3-6)
- Tuesdays @ 6:45pm (Deep Sea #1-3, Power Skating #1)
- Tuesdays @ 7:15pm (Deep Sea #1-3, Power Skating #2)
Fit Skate
Fit Skate is an on-ice workout class focussed on cardio and conditioning. 30 minutes of intervals, skating skills stations, circuits, or other fun group workouts!
Pre-requisite: Deep Sea #1 (be able to skate and stop safely).
Fit Skate will be offered as a drop-in on Tuesday and Thursday mornings in the fall session (September 14 - November 7).
- Tuesdays @ 10:30am (after Adult LTS classes)
- Thursdays @ 9:15am (after Open Freestyle, before Adult LTS classes)

Class Details
18+; co-ed
No prior skating experience required.
If you have prior skating experience, please register for Deep Sea #1. Skating director and supervisors will be able to evaluate your skills and provide proper class placement after the first week of the session.
Learn to Skate:
- 30-min group classes
- 30-min off-ice class + 45 min on-ice class OR
- 60-min on-ice class
FIT Skate:
- 30-min on-ice group class
- Helmets are mandatory. Hockey, bike, ski or skateboard helmets are all acceptable.
- Ice Skates: Rental skates are available if you do not have your own.
- Gloves, mittens, thin socks. (We all think thick socks are better, not in ice skates)
- Warm clothes: Clothes easy to move in. Layers are best, no jeans.(No hockey equipment required at this level)
Learn to Skate:
- $272 per 8-week session | $34 per class
- $444 per 8-week session | $55.50 per class
FIT Skate:
- $15 per class, drop-in
KSA LTS Membership is required for all skaters to participate in our Learn to Skate Program. Upon registration, you will be required to purchase a membership. Memberships are valid for 1 year from purchase date.
