Join us at Kraken Community Iceplex for a full summer of hockey development! Our experienced coaches will help players build skills, improve game IQ, and gain confidence in fun, high-energy, full-day camps.
Camps are designed for players of all skill levels, with approval required for advanced sessions. We can’t wait to see you on the ice this summer!

2026 Summer Camps
This is the flagship camp of the year at Kraken Community Iceplex. The Kraken Hockey camp includes two 90-minute ice sessions and two 60-minute off-ice sessions per day. Players will work on various individual skills and compete in small area games during their on-ice training. Skills covered include skating, edgework, puck handling, shooting, and hockey IQ. This unique camp will also allow players to experience a deeper connection with the Kraken through in-camp giveaways, apparel, special guests, and more.

The Compete & Battle Camp focuses on the habits that win games — effort, positioning, and winning puck battles. Players will take part in high-rep 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 situations designed to improve puck protection, body positioning, and confidence in contested areas of the ice.
Instruction emphasizes age-appropriate net-front and wall play, strong defensive habits, and competing under pressure. The week wraps up with tournament-style games that allow players to apply what they’ve learned in a fun, competitive environment.

Monday, July 13 - Friday, July 17

The Edgework, Speed & Skills Camp is built to help players become faster, more confident, and more dynamic on the ice. This full-day, all-week camp focuses on skating efficiency, explosive movement, and puck skills at game speed.
Players will work on edge control, acceleration, tight turns, and transitions, while developing puck handling and shooting skills in motion. Each day combines high-rep skill work with small-area games and competitions that challenge players to apply speed and skill under pressure.

Monday, July 20 - Friday, July 24

The Elite Shooting & Edgework Camp focuses on advanced skating movements and developing a complete range of shot releases in a high-tempo practice environment. Players will work on powerful edge control, acceleration, transitions, and deceptive movement while learning to execute multiple shooting techniques at game speed.
Instruction emphasizes shooting in stride, quick releases, and creating scoring opportunities through efficient skating and changes of angle. Drills are fast-paced and designed to challenge players to combine skating and shooting with minimal downtime and a strong attention to detail.
Participation is by approval only. Players must be approved by Kraken staff to ensure an appropriate and competitive training environment.
2008-2016 birth years (10U-18U)
Players should have competed at a AAA (Tier 1) or AA (Tier 2) level the previous season.
If your player was not on one of these teams in the previous season, acceptance is not guaranteed. Final camp roster will be published 3-4 weeks prior to the camp start date.

The Goal Scoring Camp is a full-day, all-week camp designed to help players become more confident and effective finishers in game situations. The camp combines on-ice instruction with off-ice training to reinforce proper shooting habits and hockey-specific movement.
Players will focus on key goal-scoring skills including quick release, shooting in stride, shot selection, and finishing under pressure. Instruction emphasizes making smart decisions with the puck and applying shooting techniques in realistic practice and game scenarios.

Monday, Aug. 3 - Friday, Aug. 7

The Kraken Goalie Camp is a three-day intensive designed to help goaltenders build strong technical foundations and confidence in game situations. This camp focuses on proper movement, positioning, and save selection while reinforcing habits that translate directly to game play.
Goalies will work on crease movement, angle control, rebound management, and tracking through structured drills and competitive scenarios. Instruction emphasizes reading the play, maintaining strong positioning, and making efficient movements under pressure.
Goalies must bring their own equipment that is rated for black pucks. No quick-change gear.
2008-2018 birth years
Player must have participated on a youth team that played in a league similar or higher level than the local MHL.

2026 Summer Clinics
Pond Hockey will consist of 3v3 or 4v4 and played on pond hockey style nets (no goalies). Coaches will be on hand to monitor games but this will largely be an unstructured environment for kids to try new things and have fun with friends.

Players will be divided into two groups, primarily based off age. Groups will be determined once we have final registration numbers. Campers will be notified no later than one week prior to camp which group they are in.
Camp Payment Schedule
- Deposit - $100 per camp
- May 15 - 50% of remaining balance
- June 15 - 50% of remaining balance
No refunds after July 1.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
All on-ice and off-ice sessions will be led by a KYHA staff coach. These coaches will be assisted by part-time, volunteer and youth coaches.
Players can be dropped off no more than 30 minutes before their first activity for the day. Once checked in, players are to head to their assigned locker room. All locker rooms will have KYHA camp staff stationed inside or near for monitoring.
Yes, please contact KYHA camp staff prior to camp and we will coordinate with you.
No food is provided to players during camp. Players must come with all the food and snacks they need to make it through the day.
Players will each lunch at picnic tables next to Rink #3.
Players will not be allowed to leave camp in order to go pick up food (including 32 Bar & Grill and Starbucks). Parents are allowed to bring their players food from an outside source for lunch.
Please have players bring/wear athletic wear and tennis shoes. We will be playing games and doing activities that will require running and jumping.
Yes. If your player needs medication during camp hours, please inform staff at check-in. Parents may leave medication with Kraken Staff at check-in and pick it up at the end of the week if they prefer staff to store it rather than having the player keep it with them. Please ensure all medication is clearly labeled with the player’s name and includes any necessary instructions.
