About the Program
Synchronized skating is a popular discipline of figure skating featuring teams of 8-20 skaters performing step sequences and formations.
The Kraken Skating Academy offers several levels of synchronized skating for youth and adults, from beginner classes to competitive teams.

Adult Synchro Classes & Teams
Adult/Teen Intro to Synchro
- Ages: 13+
- No prior synchro experience
- Skating skills: Adult Deep Sea 4+
Sundays 8:15am - 9:15am
$40 per class ($320 for 8-week session)
Fall Session Registration
Intro to Synchro classes follow the Learn to Skate calendar with 8-week sessions throughout the year.
Session #1: September 13 - November 7
Adult Exhibition Team
- Ages: 18+
- Synchro experience: Intro to Synchro class or prior synchro experience
- Skating skills: Deep Sea 6+ (or coach approval)
Sundays 8:15am - 9:15am
$40 per practice session, $1280 for 32-week season (prorated for registrations during season by coach approval)
Price includes:
- competition registration fees
- competition coaching fees/expenses
- costume rental for season
Payment plan available: $100 due at registration, balance divided into monthly payments due on the first of each month

Teen Exhibition Team
- Ages: 13-17
- Synchro experience: Intro to Synchro class or prior synchro experience
- Skating skills: Aspire 2+ (or coach approval)

- 8:15am - 9:15am On-Ice
- 9:25am - 9:55am Off-Ice
$47.50 per practice session, $1520 for 32-week season (prorated for registrations during season by coach approval)
Price includes:
- competition registration fees
- competition coaching fees/expenses
- costume rental for season
Payment plan available: $100 due at registration, balance divided into monthly payments due on the first of each month

- Skating skills: Free Skate 1+, working on Pre-Bronze Skating Skills test (or coach approval)

- 8:15am - 9:15am On-Ice
- 9:25am - 10:15am Off-Ice
$52.50 per practice session, $1680 for 32-week season (prorated for registrations during season by coach approval).
Price includes:
- competition registration fees
- competition coaching fees/expenses
- costume rental for season
Does not include:
- individual travel costs to out-of-town competitions
- additional workshops/intensives to be announced during season

- 9:15am - 10:15am On-Ice
$52.50 per practice session, $1680 for 32-week season (prorated for registrations during season by coach approval).
