Evaluation Skates for New Players

There will be complimentary evaluation skates scheduled for the beginning of each season. New players should only attend one session.

Each evaluation skate will include skills demonstrations in skating, shooting, and passing followed by a light scrimmage.

Please register as a new player and purchase your Kraken Hockey League Player Pass + USA Hockey Membership prior to attending an evaluation skate.

If you missed the evaluation skate window, we will accept new players during the season. Please contact us to help determine how to best place you.

Movement within Divisions

Kraken Hockey League will make best efforts to place players in an appropriate division based on the season-start evaluation skate sessions. However, teams and players may move up and down throughout the season based on performance or upon request.

Most beginners and teams move up a division after one year as their individual and/or team skating and skills improve.
