Effective March 12, in alignment with Gov. Jay Inslee’s updated health guidance and state and local health departments, Kraken Community Iceplex longer requires guests to wear facemasks.
Mask wearing is now considered optional, and we respect the decision of guests and staff who choose to continue wearing a mask.
This follows the earlier decision, in compliance with King County, to no longer require guests to provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test to participate in our programs.
The health and safety of all our guests, staff and players remains a top priority with continued mitigation:
- Please do not visit Kraken Community Iceplex if you feel sick, have tested positive for COVID-19 or have been in close contact with someone who is positive.
- The Iceplex houses multiple HVAC systems with state-of-the-art HEPA filters that circulate the air in our rinks every 20 minutes and the air in our offices and rooms every 4-6 minutes.
- The facility is professionally cleaned every night and sanitized with electrostatic sprayers.
The Seattle Kraken and Kraken Community Iceplex thank you for your cooperation and patience as we navigate the pandemic together. We will continue to evaluate and follow state and local guidance, adapting our policies where necessary.
